We are a network of Utah organizations, businesses, and individuals working together to protect 30 percent of the world’s lands and waters by 2030. Science has identified that people and the planet remain vulnerable to climate change, including the rapid loss of biodiversity and ecosystems important for humans to thrive. The target to protect 30 by 30 is based on recommendations that natural systems restored and protected can play a vital role in combating the worst effects of climate change -- felt already worldwide. The climate crisis is inextricably linked to societal disparities and, if not managed, will continue to create disruptive shocks to the economy, public health, and humanity's overall well-being. To do our part in Utah, we are calling on everyone to join in the effort to protect lands and waters in the state and create a network of natural systems to ensure healthy communities and a healthy planet for now, and forever. Together, a broad collective can be the difference for enduring and necessary change.
